HeavyEquipment.com.au was originally designed in the early 90’s by the public company RP Data to assist machinery dealers to market their equipment to a national and international market. RP Data was subsequently sold to the Macquarie Bank in 2004 who determined that HeavyEquipment.com.au was not part of their core business and took the decision to sell this arm of the business.

HeavyEquipment.com.au was taken over by a private Australian company in 2006 who believed that the site required a major upgrade to give its clients the competitive edge and as a consequence the redevelopment of the site was completed in late April 2009.

The share holders of HeavyEquipment.com.au recognized that sellers require access to cutting edge electronic technology and as a consequence have engaged the services of a large team of highly trained and capable IT engineers.

To assist sellers and buyers, HeavyEquipment.com.au has engaged a number of highly experienced field sales/auctioneering staff who will be able to support the sellers and buyers throughout the listing, auctioning and transaction periods.
